our story

our name

Atlas was created with a singular passion that we all embraced…share our love of the Spanish language…its rhythms, sounds, and the cultures behind it all. We started by building a unique space for Spanish teaching and learning from our collective thinking and experiences as teachers. We dreamt of a place in which every student who chooses to study with us becomes part of our continuing story.

It all began with a word play. We matched and mixed thousands of letters until Atlas came to us and it quickly became our identity. Atlas is the map that connects us with every student, the possibility to cross and surpass distances to build a world of opportunities.

Meet The Teachers

Paula

Hello. My name is Paula. I’ve been giving Spanish lessons online to Americans for 3 years now. I’ve worked with tourists, college students and corporate clients.

One of the things I love about my work is getting to know a little about my students lifestyle: their profession, hobbies, routines, and culture.

Ismael

I’m Isma, a graduate in Economics and a Spanish teacher since 2010. I started teaching as a volunteer in a social project for kids and teenagers in a community in northeastern Brazil.

I taught courses for adults in one of the most prestigious Spanish institutions in the world and for the last 3 years I’ve specialized in Spanish for Business. I love music, traveling and my family.

Laura

Hi all! My name is Laura, I’m a Spanish teacher for foreigners as well as native speakers. I started working with adults, teenagers and kids 5 years ago, all of them with different communicative and personal needs.

In every class I feel that I see the world and learn about it through my students and their stories. I love mate (a typical Argentinian beverage), autumn, mountains, and lakes.
